Tie Dye with Natural Indigo (One Session)
Sunday May 26th
12-3pm (3 hours total instruction)

Join studio co-founders bekky and Keith to learn a wide range of techniques for tie-dying nature fibres.  We will talk about the history of Indigo cultivation and different ways of tying or sewing fabric for create different patterns (including shibori).  

Materials, including fabric and refreshments are provided.  Feel encouraged to bring additional white clothing (like t-shirts and tote bags) to continue your exploration.

Due to the size of our studio and parking lot we have a maximum enrollment for all workshops of 6 participants.  Sign up early to ensure your spot!

Please note that due to the necessity to purchase materials and supplies ahead of time all of our workshops are non-refundable.  Should something arise that makes you unable to attend we are happy to offer credit towards a future workshop of your choosing.


About the Instructors

bekky O'Neil is a multidisciplinary artist, animator, writer, director & producer. She is a graduate of the Interdisciplinary Masters in Art, Media & Design at OCAD University with a focus on Animated Documentary and Sustainable Agriculture, and holds a BFA in Playwrighting and a second BFA in Film Animation from Concordia University.  She is a part time Professor of Media Studies at Loyalist College in Belleville, and a sessional instructor in the Experimental Animation program at OCAD University in Toronto.

Keith Del Principe is a filmmaker and animator. A graduate of Plattsburgh State University of New York, Keith holds a BA in Social Theory, Social Movements & Activism. Keith is also a BFA graduate of the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema's Film Animation program in Montreal, Quebec. Keith is currently creating a mixed-media animated short documentary film about gardening. He believes that art has the capacity to impact positive social change.
